Do I have to label an AI-generated video ad?
Facebook and Instagram, TikTok and YouTube each have a setting that says a video is generated, and ask you to turn it on. In New York, an ad that shows a generated presenter must say so clearly in the ad (General Business Law, section 396-b). In the EU, a generated video that could pass for real must say it is generated, clearly and from the first time it is seen (AI Act, Article 50).
How to label it
How to turn on each platform's setting, and say it in the ad itself, is in How to label an AI UGC video ad on Meta, TikTok and YouTube.
This is not legal advice.
What our files carry
AI UGC videos, product videos and image ads made by Say It Again carry Content Credentials. Each file says it was generated, and which tool made it. Say It Again is a conformant Generator Product on the C2PA™ Conforming Products List.
The label a person sees is yours to add, on each platform. To see whether a file carries Say It Again's watermarks, upload it to Check a file.
